Sound: Shhh . . . Bang . . . POP . . . BOOM!
Author: Romana Romanyshyn

Ages: 8-12 years old
Not a picture book, I thought as I read what is really a coffee-table book survey on “sound.” And, too busy. I know, the criticism is harsh, and right up front; but there is no narrative to this expository reference book about sound and the illustrations are pretty, but entirely too detailed and loaded with nuance for the target age range.
In short, the book tries to cover too much, in too little space. It tries to be a survey of sound and ends up producing a deafening overload of information.
